"I have battled my weight for many years.  I tried every diet on earth many times.  I gained and lost the same 20-30 pounds over and over again.  Little did I know that I had the answer to my problems right at my fingertips – my daughter, Torie.  I have always had a good handle on everything in my life except my weight.  After watching Torie on her path to fitness I decided maybe I could do this too.  I was scared because I was 51 years old and what was I thinking.  But I made the leap!!  I did two relay races in sprint triathlon’s – I did the swim portion.  Then I really got serious with Torie and I have lost that 25 pounds through weight lifting and Zumba.  But the best part is I was busting out of a size 14 and I now wear a size 6.  I work out once a week with Torie and I work out 4 to 5 more days a week on my own.  I do very little cardio these days – HIIT once or twice a week for 15 minutes – that’s it.  I work out at the gym for about an hour each session.  I have bad arthritis in both my knees and get cortisone shots.  I have had to do these shots less often.  I am so much more comfortable now that I am lifting weights and my muscles are getting stronger which puts less pressure on my knees.   Torie has been such an inspiration to me and being fit is actually quite the rush.  I am working hard – still would love to push the envelope just a bit more – who knows where I will land.  But honestly if I stay right where I am for the rest of my life, I couldn’t be happier.  Thank you to my daughter who I am so proud of and who has inspired me so much.  You can teach an old girl new tricks.  If you want, go get it and don’t let anything get in your way!" - Robin I.
